One of the up and coming trends in the promotional products industry is the metal water bottle. Metal water containers have been around for a long time. After all, the cowboys, pioneers and gold miners of 150 years ago used metal canteens. I remember my dad giving me a aluminum canteen that I loved. I believe it was an Army surplus canteen. It had a cotton canvas cover and a webbed strap, and I took it on many hikes and camping trips. However the metal water bottle has come a long way.
These new bottles are sleek, modern and have innovative caps. The new bottles are available in shiny unfinished steel or aluminum, or in an endless array of anodized or color printed options. Aluminum and stainless steel are particularly effective in sport bottles, because they are chemically stable, and the water or liquid stays clean and untainted. There are two consumer products manufacturers that are doing a very good job in this segment. One is Klean Kanteen. They make beautiful stainless steel sport bottles. The other is Sigg, which is an innovative Swiss company that makes an extruded aluminum bottle with a patented secret formula liner. These are stylish and come with all kinds of prints and in many sizes and shapes. Neither Sigg nor Klean Kanteen are cheap, and bottles can range as high as $25 each with many of the models being in the high teens.
In the promotional products industry, my favorite products are the H2go steel water bottles made by ETS Express. They are very good looking and come in several sizes and shapes and a lot of cool colors that can successfully match almost any brand, plus they are about one third the cost of the big name brands.
